One of the coolest Austin ecommerce jobs around.
We are working with Alen Corp in their search for a world-class Ecommerce Manager based in Austin, Texas. This is truly one of the coolest Ecommerce Manager jobs around!
Alen aspires to be a leading global air purification company. The firm’s mission is to “Help People Live Better.” To support its ambition of serving and delighting more than one million customers worldwide, Alen seeks ethically ambitious, high energy professionals with backgrounds in digital marketing, user experience, online merchandising, and web analytics.
HARRY’S COMMENTS: Alen Corp, makes products that help customers breathe, feel, and live better. The company manufactures and markets high-end air purifiers that remove harmful particles, such as pollen, dust, mold, and more from the air. Now more than ever, the world needs fresh air, and these purifiers allow people to breathe better, which allows them to feel better. You allergy sufferers know what I’m talking about. When people feel better, they feel better about life, relationships, their personal commitments, and more.
Ultimately, Alen Corp’s products are life enhancing.
The need for high-end air purifiers is obvious. Every day we read about air pollution, whether at home or abroad. Significant health problems related to air pollution exist in cities like Sao Paulo, Mexico City, or Beijing – whose struggles with air pollution are well-known. But air pollution is a major problem right here at home, particularly in cities like Los Angeles. Left unchecked, ozone air pollution may cause …
- Respiratory harm such as worsened asthma and COPD
- Early death through both short-term and long-term exposure
- Cardiovascular harm which may bring about heart attacks, strokes, heart disease, and congestive heart failure
- Harm to the central nervous system
- Reproductive and developmental harm
In doing my homework for this search, there’s one thing I learned: Sooner or later, clean air is going to be a major concern for every single person on this planet – and everyone’s respiratory health is Alen Corp’s business.
Let me break down the market opportunity for you.
The global market size for air purifiers stands at $2.5 billion. However, less than $500 million of that market is penetrated. People just don’t understand what this product can do for them. Yet air quality is going to get worse over time. Around the world, people are burning fossil fuels because they have to. No one wants to go back to the dark ages, so countries like China are building tons of coal plants, and people are buying tons of cars.
In India, South America, and throughout Asia, you’re going to see a dramatic reduction in air quality. According to Warb, “There’s no way around it. The market size is expanding, yet it’s not being well served. The air purifier companies have been marketing their products in a common way, focusing on features — not benefits. Yet the best marketing is about feelings, and there’s a great opportunity for us to spread our story.”
